I am fascinated by differences is musical tastes. Like I said in the episode, I would LOVE to take a copy of, say, Sabotage by the Beastie Boys back to 1950 and play it for someone to get their reaction. I made my band/orch friends in college listen to FF (orchestral) music and they enjoyed it. One told me he thought it sounded like Mozart in style, which he said was because of its structure; apparently there are people who don't like Mozart (buh?) and they complain that his structure is too perfect and predictable.
