The weather is cooling off and that provides an excellent excuse to stay inside and geek out in front of the TV. If you really feel you must go outside, you can also hop down to your local cinema and check out some of the great fan friendly movies that will be hitting screens over the next few months.
This week we’re going to attempt to hit the highlights of the Fall TV season and movie releases. We also interview with Mark Rahner, creator of the zombie western comic book Rotten, Dae Low will fill us in on the 2009 Browncoat Ball, the national Firely/Serenity fan event making its first appearance on the west coast this October and we review Smash or Trash, the new party boardgame from FunQ Games.
All that plus geek events for the Seattle area and the geeky news.

Game Review

Smash or Trash from Fun Q Games. Check the podcast for the full review, but the short version is that this is a fun “mundane” party game. Players are given a random topic which will be the subject of new lyrics to a randomly chosen well known song. Don’t be frightened off by the prospect of singing, the rules say that you can “perform” the lyrics you write. This would be an excellent choice for a game night with a non-geek group.
