Seattle’s first steampunk convention is right around the corner and while steampunk has been becoming more and more popular there are still plenty of people who are completely unfamiliar with the genre. This week we muddy the waters bring some helpful information and discussion on steampunk in general as well as interview some of the guests and organizers behind SteamCon including Guest of Honor Tim Powers and Art Guest of Honor Paul Guinan.
Plus the weekly geek news and Seattle area geek events.

Contests

We have two SIGNED copies of Trial of Flowers by Jay Lake to give away!
The ancient and decadent City Imperishable teeters on the verge of obliteration in this inventive fantasy from the prolific Lake, if not from the armies marching toward its gates, then from the dark, bloodthirsty gods reawakening within its walls. Three haunted and imperfect men must stand against the destruction of everything they know.
