Show Notes – Episode #43 “Winter Reading Roundup”

It’s winter (or will be in just a few days) and that means it is time to hide inside and keep warm with a good book! Just in case you’re hard up for reading material we have interviews with four northwest authors this week, Harry Connolly, Ben Thompson, Ken McConnell and Caitlin Kittredge, all of whom have geeky books that deserve to be on your list.
As always we also have the weekly geek news, Seattle area geek events.
Just as a reminder, this is our final podcast episode for 2009! We’re taking the next two weeks off but we will return on January 7 with our Best in Geek 2009 show.
Our Geek Week
- Movie reviews from Ask a Geek Gal
- Reading the The Improbable Adventures of Sherlock Holmes anthology
- Caught up on Legend of the Seeker
- Watched the finale of Dexter (HOLY CRAP!)

Winter Reading Roundup
Dare Shannon to Watch a Bad Movie

We had a little mix-up with the bad movie this week. Shannon intended to watch bad slasher movie Ice Cream Man (1995). Unfortunately what came from Netflix was bad slasher movie Mr. Ice Cream Man (2002). An easy mistake to make.
The upshot of this is that with the correct bad slasher movie involving purveyors of frozen dairy treats currently making its way towards us, the review will have to wait until we return in January.
If you want to dare Shannon to watch a bad movie, e-mail us at seattlegeekly@gmail.com or call us at (206)201-2352
Check our Dared Movies Page to see what is on the list and what Shannon has already watched.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

It sounded terrific. Nicely done. And I was surprised to hear Jet City Improv mentioned. The world is a small place (or maybe Seattle is a small city).
Thanks for having me.
