The internet has taken over many of the functions once served by newspapers. Sites like Craig’s List and eBay have supplanted the classifieds, innumerable news aggregators and blogs have taken over for the front page and editorial sections and webcomics are replacing the funny pages. Although PvP Online creator and webcomics pioneer Scott Kurtz (who came up with the t-shirt design above that I totally stole for this week’s header) was quick to point out in a recent interview with Comic Riffs that “Newspapers are dying concurrent to us, not because of us”.
Their effect on traditional media aside, webcomics are exploding and this week we interview creators Josh Jones, Caryn A Tate and Scott Meyer about their comics. We also talk with actor Doug Fahl, star of Zombies of Mass Destruction, about the upcoming DVD release of ZMD and his latest project Punch and, of course, we have the weekly geek news and Seattle area geek events.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The Stuff. A classic crap movie.
I live about 10 minutes away from Port Gamble and I remember all the news coverage and local hoopla surrounding filming and the premiere. For some strange reason, I haven’t seen it yet! I can’t wait for the DVD release!
