Yikes! What a weekend. We were super busy for the whole convention with various volunteer duties but we still had a good time and met a lot of very cool people. This week we’ll give our review of Norwescon and take a brief look back at the other cons we hit during our Big Month of Conventions™.
We also have the weekly geek news, geek events in Seattle and a brand new contest!
Our Geek Week
- Listening to Jorge Garcia’s Geronimo Jack’s Beard podcast
- Reading Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison
- Finished Canticle by Ken Scholes

Norwescon Wrap-Up

Volunteering was a pretty new experience for the two of us. We’d spent a couple of hours working registration in years past but neither of us had been involved with the inner workings of the convention to anywhere near the extent that we were this year. It was a great deal of work but also enormously rewarding.
It was great to be a part of the community of people that put on Norwescon every year and we encourage everyone to get involved. Planning for Norwescon 34 is already underway. Contact Volunteers@norwescon.org and even if you don’t know what you can do to help they’ll find something for you to do.
Check the Norwescon Flickr stream for pictures from the con.

Rarely syndicated, the Twin Peaks television series has lost none of its quirky and queasy power to get under your skin and haunt your dreams. So brew up a pot of some “damn fine coffee,” dig into some cherry pie, and lose yourself in David Lynch and Mark Frost’s murder mystery and soap opera, which unfolds, in one character’s words, “like a beautiful dream and terrible nightmare all at once.”
