- May 17, 2010 7pm University Book Store 4326 University Way NE, Seattle – Fantastic Fiction Salon with Charles De Lint. Pioneer of the contemporary fantasy genre Charles de Lint will be at the Fantastic Fiction Salon to talk about his writing.
- May 18, 2010 7pm and 9pm Harvard Exit 807 East Roy St, Seattle – 48 Hour Film Project Screening. Imagine creating a film from start to finish in just 48 hours—casting, writing, producing, directing, editing, adding music. Sound impossible? Teams of 48 Hour Film Project filmmakers do just that. The filmmakers are given a genre, a prop, a name and a line of dialogue on Friday at 7 and the film is due Sunday at 5:30. This screening will be of the project of the team that includes DC Comics writer Brandon Jerwa. Will it be epic or an epic disaster? Come to the screening and find out!

- May 21, 2010 10pm Boom Noodle 1121 East Pike Street – ‘Survival of the Dead’ premier event – Join ZomBcon and SIFF in a celebration of the northwest premier of George A. Romero’s newest Zombie film ‘Survival of the Dead’. It all starts at 10pm with the ZomBcon Happy Hour Party at Boom Noodle then at 11 there will be a zombie walk from Boom Noodle to the Egyptian Theater and it all caps off at midnight with a screening of ‘Survival of the Dead’. DON’T FORGET: YOU MUST BE DRESSED UP AS A ZOMBIE TO GET INTO THE PARTY. To guarantee your seat for the screening buy tickets online at www.siff.net. Tickets are just $11.
