Episode #97 April 28, 2011 – Norwescon 34 – Norwescon has been the center of our Geek Year for a very long time now and this year was no exception. This week we’re going to try and summarize our convention experience, just to try and give a taste of what went on over what was an amazing weekend including an interview with local author and geek scene icon Bruce Taylor, “Mr. Magic Realism”. Plus Shannon watches a bad movie and some geek news.
Episode #96 April 14, 2011 – Geek Music Variety Pack – Geek Music is a genre on the rise and the variety of styles under the geek music umbrella is on the increase as well. This week we explore the bredth of geek music through interviews with nerdcore MC Klopfenpop, Filk heroes Vixy and Tony and hard rockers Sci-Fried. There should be something for just about anyone! Plus the geek news.
Episode #95 March 31, 2011 – Spring-Summer Movies 2011 – This week the Geeks round up the crop of Spring and Summer movies and give their recommendations on what to see and what to skip. Also in this episode an interview with Danielle from Seattle’s Pacific Science Center about the exhibit Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination and a review of the documentary Charles Beaumont: The Short Life of Twilight Zone’s Magic Man.
